In the warm and intimate setting of Club de l’Étoile Cinéma, on the evening of March 16, Cinexia Productions, in collaboration with the CCEE Association – The Vietnam–France Cultural Cinema Bridge, co-hosted the event “Film Night – Bridge of Light” — a meaningful gathering dedicated to the Vietnamese community in Paris. The occasion also marked the association’s 3rd anniversary and introduced the international film project Beyond the Broken Bridge.
The event was honored by the presence of Đinh Ngọc Đức — Director of the Vietnam Cultural Center in France — along with a diverse audience of overseas Vietnamese, international guests, and professionals working across film, culture, and creative production. In his opening remarks, Mr. Đinh Ngọc Đức emphasized the role of cinema as a powerful cultural language that not only promotes Vietnam’s image globally but also strengthens connections among Vietnamese communities abroad.
A key highlight of the evening was the strategic partnership signing between Cinexia Productions and the CCEE Association, aimed at advancing internationally oriented film projects in the coming years. The signing ceremony brought together a number of producers and industry partners, including Aaron Lê, Kristina Schippling, Zhong To, and Angie Kiều Anh Đỗ — individuals who play an active role in bridging Vietnamese cinema with the global market.

Representing Cinexia Productions, Angie Kiều Anh Đỗ shared that the company is committed to building a film production ecosystem capable of telling Vietnamese stories through a global cinematic language — where identity, memory, and diasporic experiences are conveyed with contemporary sensibilities and international standards. According to her, Beyond the Broken Bridge serves as the starting point for this long-term vision.
In addition, Alexandre Hải Nguyễn highlighted that cinema is not only an art form but also a medium for creating a sustainable cultural bridge between Vietnamese communities in Europe and their homeland. He acknowledged the efforts of the CCEE Association in maintaining film screenings, cultural exchanges, and expanding creative collaboration networks over the years.
On behalf of the CCEE Association, Linh Chi Triệu reflected on the organization’s three-year journey, which has been built on the aspiration to create a space where Vietnamese cinema can be more regularly accessed by overseas Vietnamese communities. From its earliest screenings to internationally connected events like this one, the association has consistently pursued the goal of preserving cultural identity through the language of cinema.
More than just a community screening, “Bridge of Light” opens up new avenues for collaboration in Cinexia Productions’ upcoming international projects — where cinema continues to serve as a bridge between people, memories, and the stories that deserve to be shared with the world 🌍🎞️
